India donates Medicines to Mozambican Ministry of Health

Medicine handing over ceremony organised at CMAM Store

On 06 November 2017, High Commissioner Shri Rudra Gaurav Shresth handed over the first instalment of the Indian medicines (approximately about 65 tons of medicines) to Hon'ble Minister of Health of Mozambique, Her Excellency Dra. Nazira Vali Abdula during a formal handing over ceremony orgnaised at the CMAM -Central Medicine and Medical Supplies Store in the neighborhood of Zimpeto, Maputo. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a donation of 100 tons of essential medicines to the Mozambican Ministry of Health during his State Visit to Mozambique last year. This donation will play important role in the Mozambican public health system in view of the present fiscal constraints of the Mozambique Government and preference of medicines were made by Mozambican Health Ministry as per their requirement.
